Photo number 3 for my 'Photo On Friday' series:
I know what you're thinking!
That's just a photo of a packet of Jaffa Cakes. Where's the before and after photo. What happened to the colour boosting, the cropping, the curves, focus, lights etc, etc, etc ....
Where in fact are all the special affects that make Sarah feel like a proper photographer. All this is is a slightly out of focus photo of a box of cakes (biscuits???).
Ha!
This is possibly the most clever photo of all because the special affect isn't immediately obvious. Go on, go back and take another look, I'll wait here a while .................................................................................................................................................................................................................
Can you see it??
Ok, I'll tell you:
The box - SHE IS EMPTY!
How friggin' clever is that!!!!
Want to know why I have an empty box of Jaffa Cakes in my cupboard?
Pretty sure some of you will have worked that one out already.
It's so SD doesn't know that Miss Mac and I scoffed the lot in one sitting :)
SD is one of those odd people that can exert restraint and it wont even occur to him to help himself to one. It also wont occur to him to check how many are in the box so I'm going to leave that box there for ... hmmm, another 2 days perhaps and then I'll put it in the recycling box.
I think SD would consider 4 days a reasonable amount of time for a box of Jaffa Cakes to last.
Personally, I think he's deluded.
Miss Mac and I attacked that box like a pack of rabid dogs within minutes, it didn't even make it into the cupboard when there was something in it!
How long does a box of Jaffa Cakes last in your house?

Actually, Jaffa cakes are healthy. I know this because my son's football trainer promotes them as the snack of choice. Not sure if it's because the orange counts as 1 of your 5 a day but if it does, you can tell SD that the box was a short-cut to a long life and no less than can be expected from a mother.Personally, I think you can extend this life lesson to anything in an orange wrapper, like a Crunchie. xx

Which only goes to prove that you are indeed the most kindred of spirits PP :) xx
I am the stealth box opener extraordinaire. I would open it, empty it and there be no sign. Nada. I can eat nearly an entire Easter egg and the package look untouched. :)
Hmmmm. How long does a box of Jaffa Cakes last in this house?
How long do you think they last when youngest son has the nickname Jaffa because he can't keep his grubby little paws off them.
I bought several boxes back from the UK with me last year and I believe they were gone in a day! I can't buy them because they are always gone quite literally in seconds - I tihnk that it is McVities fault really, cos they only but 12 or 13 or the darn things in one of those little plastic sleeves, and you have to buy the big box to get 2 little sleeves - it's just not good enough really!
I'm a total eclipse kinda gal so they would be lucky to last a day in my house!
would it be very wrong to mention to Lou that they now sell they in metre length boxes here now :)
How very rude of me - I just followed my own link here and realised I hadn't replied to the comments - My apologies!!!!
K - am in awe! I once opened the tin of Quality St intended for Christmas and managed to eat half of it before taping it up again but don't tell anyone ok?
Lou my lovely I would post you some but I can see I'd be ripping that package open long before it made it to the post box - tell you what, I'll eat some for you - how's that :)
Lol Claire, loved that ad - I do TRY not to stuff them in whole but I find that only really works if I have at least two boxes. By the second I can sometimes nibble at them (that's a lie btw ;).
It's very wrong to mention it to ME K!
UGH I hate people who exercise self control. HATE THEM [runs away to eat whole block of chocolate].
It's unnatural isn't it? On the other hand - more for me!!!
