Rubbish Tuesday

I'm going for oldish and interesting this week for Roans Rubbish Tuesday.

As before, my photos have come from the farm.

Yesterday was a beautiful day here in Somerset and SD and I decided it was time to pick some of the plums on the ancient plum tree before they all fall off and the chickens eat them.

SD pulled out this fantastic stepladder. I'm not sure it's particularly old being as its made of aluminium but it's been around a while and it's seen plenty of use.

Every time I see it I think I must photograph it so yesterday that's what I did.

I love the build up of different colours, It's almost like a work of art.

I never would have thought to photograph our old ladder, of course ours doesn't have these gorgeous colors! Thanks for joining in the fun!

Looks like our ladder....but your paint colors are much more pretty than the paint splatterings you'd see on ours.

That ladder certainly has been well used!! I love the stone wall it is leaning against, too! Not to mention the plums!!

Did they ever get any paint on the wall? Tom The Backroads Traveller

Hmmmm soooooo remember the bath shot when you should have been painting?! This is the ladder shot when you should have been picking! Does SD say 'what does it take to actually get some help around here?' regularly?! Poor guy. Still nice pair you've got going on there, very vibrant....your ladders!

Wow, thank you for all the comments!

Awww, Joe, I hope it's a GOOD reminder of your overalls!

I love the wall too Judy, at one point it had ivy growing all over it and after the roots were cut the ivy died and the dead plant became a part of the wall.

Ha ha, hard to tell Tom, lots of it ended up on the ladder for sure!

That's actually one of SD's most overused phrases K - Can't think why ...
